CLPe Launches EV Charging Service for Taxi and Commercial Fleets

According to the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Green Transformation Roadmap for Public Buses and Taxis, around 3,000 electric taxis are expected to be on the roads of Hong Kong by 2027. To meet the charging needs of commercial electric vehicles (EVs), CLPe has launched an EV charging service focusing on fast and super-fast charging, and offers a variety of charging solutions for electric commercial vehicles, including taxi fleets, light goods vehicles, and limousines.

The mobile app CLPe Charging is designed to provide business customers with a seamless, one-stop charging experience.  This app allows users to easily locate the nearest CLPe charging stations based on their current location, monitor their charging status in real-time, review their charging records, and pay for charging fees directly through the app. Fleet managers can also utilise the online fleet management platform to access their fleet’s charging data and energy costs, manage fleet accounts, and forecast fleet charging demand so as to adopt a more effective business management approach. In addition to fast and super-fast speed charging service, the medium-speed charging facilities are offered at a competitive price, making them an economical choice for overnight parking of commercial EVs.

CLPe has also partnered with Link Asset Management Limited (Link) to expand the charging network. Currently, over 100 charging bays are commissioned in Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Tseung Kwan O, Tsing Yi, and Sha Tin. CLPe plans to collaborate with various property developers and management companies to increase the number of charging bays to over 250 across Hong Kong by the end of this year.
