This guided tour is jointly organised by the HKGBC and GBIUA.
GHM Greater Bay Area Institute of Urban Architecture (Hong Kong) (GBIUA)'s Quiet-Renovation Laboratory is initiated by a government-funded programme (ECF EECA No. 2791) named “Pilot Scheme for Reducing Environmental Nuisance During Renovation Works in the Community”. The Quiet-Renovation Laboratory is a continuation of the research effort to showcase low nuisance renovation tools, and it also serves as a platform to discuss the latest legal development on the Noise Control Ordinance.
This guided tour aims to explore the Quiet-Renovation Laboratory. It features a live demonstration, industry networking, and an informative session on recent regulatory developments pertaining to the Noise Control Ordinance.
(1) Live Demonstration - Experience a real-time comparative analysis of tool efficiency and associated noise levels, providing visitors with an objective perspective on the latest innovations.
(2) Industry Networking - Connect with leading suppliers showcasing the latest technologies and solutions focused on workplace safety and operational efficiency.
(3) Regulatory Update Session - Engage in a comprehensive discussion on the recent Noise Control Ordinance’s legislative amendments and their potential implications for various industry stakeholders.

4. No Show / Cancellation – Cancellation must be made by email to [email protected] with justification on or before 25 September 2024, 12:00 noon. Please quote your registration number in the email.
5. The event will be cancelled when the Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, Black Rainstorm Signal or Extreme Conditions is hoisted at 6:00 am on the event day.
6. Certificate of attendance will be issued by email around a week after the event.
7. Participants shall follow the instructions of the tour guide and pay particular attention to safety while visiting the laboratory.
8. Participants should note that neither HKGBC nor the parties concerned would accept liability in connection with this event.
9. The CPD hour(s) will be automatically uploaded to attendees' BEAM Pro / BEAM Affiliate Individual Account around a week after the event.
