CIC Green Product Certification Scheme 2.0 Launching Ceremony
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) are honoured to host the official launch of the upgraded CIC Green Product Certification (CIC GPC) Scheme 2.0 - a pivotal advancement in Hong Kong's sustainable construction landscape, scheduled for 26 May 2025 (Monday).
The CIC Green Product Certification scheme 2.0 marks a significant advancement in sustainable construction practices. The revamped scheme introduces new product categories and five sustainability labels, enhancing our commitment to promoting environmentally responsible choices. By identifying and recognising products that meet stringent sustainability criteria, the CIC Green Product Certification scheme guides stakeholders towards greener manufacturing and procurement to reduce the environmental impact of buildings.
The launching ceremony would convene senior government officials, industry leaders, and sustainability experts for a half-day of insightful presentations and discussions. Attendees would gain first-hand knowledge of the Scheme's upgraded requirements, while a panel of distinguished experts would explore practical strategies for implementing sustainable construction solutions. The event would also feature an awards presentation recognising pioneering organisations that participated in the Scheme's pilot phase, celebrating their contributions to advancing green building practices in Hong Kong.
