BEAM Plus Introduces a New Service to Celebrate Rating Achievements
As of the end of December 2024, BEAM Plus has recorded over 2,700 registered projects, involving more than 8,700 buildings, covering a total floor area of over 92 million square metres. At the core of every BEAM Plus rating lies the unwavering dedication and hard work of the project team.
In recognition of these remarkable achievements, the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) is expressing its sincere appreciation to all project teams by introducing a new service to recognise their contributions. From now on, the HKGBC is delighted to send representatives to present a BEAM Plus plaque or certificate at the project's opening ceremony or other event.
The HKGBC’s management eagerly anticipates the opportunity to join these events and celebrate your BEAM Plus accomplishments. To avail yourself of this exclusive service, simply complete the Request Form, and the HKGBC Secretariat will promptly reach out to facilitate the process. Promoting a Green Shopping Culture – "Smart and Green Shopping": A Brand New TV Special and Giveaway Campaign Returns

The Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance (HKGSA) is bringing back the special TV series "Smart and Green Shopping", airing on ViuTV Channel 99 every Saturday and Sunday from 15 February to 2 March at 7:55 PM. Over three consecutive weeks, a total of six episodes will showcase the winning shopping malls and shops of the Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance Award 2024.
Through "Smart and Green Shopping", audiences will gain valuable insights into the environmental initiatives implemented by the six award-winning retail pioneers and learn how they are promoting a green shopping environment. The six malls and shops include: Link Asset Management Limited (Link), Citywalk, Chow Sang Sang, Towngas Cooking Centre, Tai Po Mega Mall, and Times Square. This captivating content can also be revisited on the HKGSA website (https://bit.ly/40h4STM) or the Hong Kong Green Building Council's YouTube channel (https://bit.ly/3LvEyl4).


To further encourage the public to adopt greener shopping practices, the HKGBC will launch a Facebook campaign featuring six giveaways following the TV series. Participants are invited to watch “Smart and Green Shopping” to deepen their understanding of green shopping and then answer related questions. Participants will have a chance to win cash vouchers or green products sponsored by the Award winners. The campaign will kick off in March—stay tuned to the HKGBC Facebook page for updates!
