The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) is dedicated to connecting with global counterparts, unlocking valuable learning and exchange opportunities that empower our members to accelerate the green building development. Following the success of last year's study trip to Germany, the HKGBC is thrilled to announce our Member Exclusive Delegation to South Korea to be held on 2 - 5 June 2025 (Mon - Thu), a 4 full-day trip which echoes the government's vision of advancing innovation and technology, aligning with the broader goal of fostering a smart and sustainable city.

South Korea is making significant strides in green building development with its G-SEED green building certification system and the Green New Deal scheme, striving to realise the “2050 Zero-Carbon City” vision. This initiative addresses climate change by retrofitting ageing public buildings to zero-energy standards and transitioning city vehicles to electric or hydrogen alternatives. The Smart City & Digitisation Master Plan further enhances citizens' quality of life, positioning the country as a pioneer in sustainable and smart urban innovation. On this journey, you will explore architectural marvels and pioneering green building projects, engage with industry leaders to gain insights into environmental policies and advanced urban planning, and experience the latest sustainable building solutions driving resilient, eco-friendly communities. This immersive experience offers a firsthand look at how South Korea is shaping the future of sustainable development to build a greener, smarter world.
